Sagu gula melaka

1 of my fav dessert! Lagi-lagi jumpa sagu warna pink, memang ngam la :) I belajar buat sagu ni pun dari website, search je kat google, semua nye keluar. Macam-macam cara jugak, so I baca dari 3,4 blog cmne nk buat sagu ni.

[1 paket = 300gram]

Alaa, zaman sekarang beli santan dlm kotak je senang. Hehe. Santan ni pekat & sedap. Boleh la try.

Ok, masak santan 200ml ni dengan air. Kalau xnk pekat, letak la banyak air. Ada org suka pekat & berlemak. So terpulangla ye :) Kemudian masukkan daun pandan. Kacau je dengan api yang perlahan. Santan ni xboleh dibiarkan, kacau je lebih kurang 10 minit. Jangan masak dgn api besar, nanti pecah minyak.

Toskan masa panas2 tu & cuci sagu  tu untuk hilangkan kanji. Mula2 mmg nampak macam jeli, tapi lepas da basuh banyak kali, baru la nampak sagu nye. Pastu masukkan la dalam acuan yg anda mahu :)

Lupa plak nk snap gambar masa masak gula melaka. Xpela, I bgtau je la ye. Cara-cara nak masak gula melaka ni senang je. Masak gula melaka (ikut kemahuan berapa banyak) dengan air sedikit. Kemudian masukkan daun pandan macam masak santan tadi. Air jangan banyak sangat, nanti xpekat plak gula nya. Biar kan sehingga gula melaka sebati dengan air.

Tadaaa, ni la sagu pink marvelous kt lepas dah letak santan & gula melaka! hehe ;)

Boleh la hiaskan dengan buah favourite anda! Siap tuk dihidang :)

Selamat mencuba! ;)

Tapioca Pearls / Bubble

Tapioca pearl or known as black pearl is my favourite! Especially with chocolate drink. Yummy! I call it 'Chocolate Bubble' :) There is also bubble tea but I'm not a fan of it. Don't like the taste of milk tea in my Chocolate. Usually we saw it in black color at shops, but today we make it for ourselves so we try it in red and green.  Anyway, my Boyfie knows I'm crazy bout it and he make this for me. I help too, but he was the one who make the dough. So sweet of him
Well, at the beginning we shape it into small round but at the end, it became more big and bigger (tired). lol. Its not so easy to make it round as it seen. We took hours to get it ready. Plus it took some time to boil it and keep it cool. So this is the shocking red pearl that we made.

We boil it for half an hour.

And Tadaaa. This is how it came out. Love the red color.

Owh, and this is the green pearl. I didn't had the time to snap a pic of it when it was ready :( So this is the tapioca pearl in making. Till then :)

Buttercream

Ingredients:

1/2 cup solid vegetable shortening
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine softened
1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
4 cups sifted confectioners sugar (approximately 1 lb.)
2 tablespoons of milk

Instructions:

Step 1
In large bowl, cream shortening and butter with electric mixer. Add vanilla. Gradually add sugar, one cup at a time, beating well on medium speed. Scrape sides and bottom of bowl often. When all sugar has been mixed in, icing will appear dry. Add milk and beat at medium speed until light and fluffy. Keep bowl covered with a damp cloth until ready to use.

Step 2
For best result, keep icing bowl in refrigerator when not in use. Refrigerated in an airtight container, this icing can be stored 2 weeks. Rewhip before using.

Step 3
For thin (spreading) consistency icing, add 2 tablespoons light corn syrup, water or milk.

Step 4
For pure white icing (stiff consistency), omit butter, substitute an additional 1/2 cup shortening for butter and add 1/2 teaspoon No-Color Butter Flavor. Add up to 4 tablespoons light corn syrup, water or milk to thin for icing cakes.

..:: This is the recipe that I usually use. I love to use butter instead of margarine. It depends on u if u want to use unsalted butter. Any butter can do. And for milk, I use evaporated (Ideal) milk. The most important thing is to sifted ur icing sugar. If not, ur butter cream will not look smooth. The shortening however will make ur butter cream looks more shining, so don't forget that. U can get all this ingredients from the bakery shop. So, Good Luck! Till then :) ::..

Flower Cutie Cupcake & Vanilla Muffin

Yeay, I'm happy today! Although it's not so perfect but I'm quite satisfied with my cute cupcakes. I made it for my friends. See the color of my butter cream. How fascinating it is. Seriously, love to see the colors. At first, my niece only ask me for a plain cupcake without the cream. She's a little bit shock I guess when she see's the color. lol. Then, while I'm decorating, I gave her some of the butter cream to taste, and she loves it. After that, she only ate the butter cream and doesn't ate the cake. *what a cute niece! :)

I've put some chocolate spread into the cake mixture. Its something like Nutella spread. Some mixture wouldn't be like this (float) if u put the chocolate spread. However, this mixture is light and the chocolate spread will not go down (sunken) because I use moist chocolate recipe.

Tadaaaa, packed and ready to give out to my friends :)

I made this specially for my friend's engagement on 9.10.11. How cute is the date is it? *Cute like my cupcake! lol

On the same day, my lovely mum bake this vanilla muffin for my sister. She's totally have different taste with me.<3 :="" and="" chocolate="" for="" it="" lol.="" nbsp="" now.="" p="" s="" she="" so="" that="" then="" till="" vanilla.="">

Homemade Chocolate

Ok, my favourite part! Chocolate in the making. Yes, I just love chocolate bar, chocolate snack,  chocolate spread, homemade chocolate and anything that has connection with Chocolates! lol. This time I made homemade chocolate. Just for fun. Seeing my friend making homemade chocolates, make me wanna try it also. Thanks to Puan Illa in helping me and lend me some material to make this homemade chocolate. Look easy but u have to be quiet patient to make it nice and neat.

There is orange filling and rice crisp in the middle of the chocolate. Exactly like eating Dairy Milk Snack. This is my first time, so its not very smooth and nice. lol. Visit this blog for more info about homemade chocolate or to order - http://chocilla4u.blogspot.com. Till then :)

Big Sweet Fatty Chocolate Cake

Big sweet Fatty Chocolate! That is the name I give to my newly born cake. lol. Don't be surprised when u see the cake. Because at first, I was shock too. Pheww, it is horrible! Trust me. Anyway, I still want to share with u what I've bake before. I hope I can improve more after this. *caiyork2!

Anyway, I'm not interested much to bake cake because it doesn't look so cute like cupcakes. Hee, anyhow I bake this chocolate cake after a request from my office mate. I told him that I'm not very good at it and somemore he ask me to make a birthday cake? I was like "can I do it?". Anyway, my friends support me. I am so new at baking although my mother have bake for such a long time but not for me. See, the interesting part is he ask for a kilo of cake and I don't even know how much of mixture should I use to bake a kilo. After I bake, I've found out that I got a 2kg of cake. Anyhow, Its my first cake. lol.

This is my "Big sweet Fatty Chocolate Cake" :)

I've topped it with baking chocolate bar to cover the butter cream in between the cakes. And this is the result after the decoration. I have no idea. lol. I spend almost 4 hours to make a cake. Oh my, swear to god, it is difficult for me. But I manage to get it done and send it to him. Well I didn't ask much for this cake because it's my first time and it's not like what I expected but he gave me extra. Thank you boss!! :)

Ok, thats all for now. I'll update more cupcakes soon. Thank you for ur time. Till then.

Red Cupcake with Butter Cream

My 2nd time in baking cupcakes. This time its not chocolate but plain vanilla with a lil red coloring. Wanted to make more like a red velvet cake but I didn't like to use much of coloring. So, it doesn't look nice. I should just let it plain without coloring. Anyway, no turning back for that.

And this time, the cupcake are not fluffy like yesterday. I ask my friend, and she said I didn't heat the oven for a longer time. Yeah, I on the oven just for a few minutes. It was totally a mistake there. I should let the oven to heat for quite sometime before I put the mixture into it. Anyhow, this is the result after I decorate it with the butter cream.

Well, u can see even after I've decorate it with the butter cream, the cake still doesn't came out nice. Only for the butter cream and its quite sweet. Anyhow, "try in error" again. :)

Ouh, this is my favourite. A petite mushroom (icing sugar) on the cupcake. How lovely is that isn't it? :p

I'm not quite satisfied with it but no matter what, I will not give up! Stay tuned for more cupcakes. Till then.

1st Chocolate Cupcake

This is my first time in baking chocolate cupcake. Let see, at the beginning everything looks fine and yummy. First, I've fill about 3 quarters of the mixture. I use a chocolate cake mixture to make this. U can even bake a cake if u want to. But I love to make cupcake more because it is in small size and easy to give people for a tester. Its good for a beginner like me. This papercup is quite costly but I just love the pink colour + the polkadot. Can't help it if it is in Pink! ;)

So, this is the result after I've bake it. Well, it doesn't came out nice. I should reduce the mixture in the cup next time. Anyway, it's my first trial isn't it.  My friend said "Try in error"! :)

Ok, this is the butter cream mixture. This is also my first time in making. Not so well and nice but can do. I should sift the icing sugar and add in shortening.

And tadaaaa, this is the result. "I love u" somemore. lol. Just trying in error. Anyway, u can see the butter cream. Its not pretty at all! I can't call it butter cream I guess. It's likely like a liquid. U can see the texture. Urgh, I can't accept it and make all over again the next day. Follow up my blog to know more. Till then. :)

* sorry for the broken english :)
